What advice would you give to new turners?
Join your most local wood turning club, take lessons from a pro or experienced amateur. Buy a good second hand lathe initially, until you find what type or size of stuff you want to specialize in. Don’t buy a “set” or turning tools (You won’t use many of them)

Large items: Platters, wall plagues and hangings.
What turned work are you most proud of?
15″ lattice bowl in sweet chestnut.
Any Future Projects?
More of the above but with additional carving and/or colouring.
What aspect of wood turning would like to try/learn?
Barley twist work, veining & fluting.
Are there any books or online resources that you can recommend?
Online forums such as the ukworkshop, AWGB, AAW and YouTube. (Be careful, some of it is rubbish and/or dangerous)
Thank you Tudor for speaking to us and sharing your advice.
Wonderful work from Tudor. I worked with him at Nerak. My name is Gareth Francombe. I’ve changed phones and lost his details. Is it possible to ask him to contact me? Thanks
